IiiVEU Raisin, Sept. 2. - We are having asplendid rain which vvill make farmers feel good, look out for p, frost which will raake them feel. - Mr. Henry Sruith lost on Saturday the 30 a pocket book containing nearly one hundred Dollars, on the road between Martin B. Dewey's and Manchester. -The babo found at the residenco of one of our townsuien, Mr. J. Watson, was taken to the county house. There not being aoooinmodations for it there, Chas. Randall and wife have it in charge for the present. - Douglas Arnold, an employee of Bradley "VVay, of this town lost nearly two of his fiagers by placing his hand on one of the boxes of an eugine used for threshing, to see if the box was getting hot. The balance of the hand may be saved. - üVTr-, Gli rïHtpViGr Bcwor on a farm of about one hundred acres, has raieed nearly eight hundred bushel3 of wheat, seven hundred bushels of oats, and has twenty acres of good corn ; his neighbors Gay his farm is in such good condition that all he ha3 to do is to drop seed on top of the ground, and a good erop, will follow.
