Fifteen teams i'roui tho first brigade, by the way the only brigade in this coniinonwealth, enterod for championRhip of various prizos at Bello Isle on Friday. Coinpany A of this city was atuong the nurnber and its Captain, Chas. H. Manly carried off the sword, the Walter Buhl prize, af ter a sharp contest among the comuiissioned offioers. Captiin Manly and Lieut. Sperry of Flint tied on 38, aud it therefore became necessary to see which was the best man at 500 yards with one ahot. Captain M. won by a score oí 4 to 3. The victory ia all the more gratifying from the fact that while Lieut. Sperry avaüed hiinself of the privilege of recliuing rest, the Captain shot off-hand.
