Chelsea Resident Dies At Age Of 91
CHELSEA - Mrs. Mary Hannah Eaton, 91, a resident of Chelsea for the past 15 years, died Saturday night at the Colonial Manor Convalescent Home in Chelsea after a brief illness. She had made her home with a son, Edwin W. Eaton of 160 E. Middle St.
Mrs. Eaton was born Dec. 29, 1858, in Macomb county, a daughter of Michael and Margaret Kern Crissman. She was married to Van W. Eaton in Romeo, Mich., Oct. 26, 1881. He died in 1935.
Mrs. Eaton was a member of the Baptist Church of Romeo.
Besides her son, Mrs. Eaton is survived by two brothers, William L. Crissman of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Michael H. Crissman of Paonia, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Willard Sweeney of Lansing, Mrs. Fred A. Eckert of Detroit, and Mrs. L. H. Bates of Romeo; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Harlan A. Davis, died in 1948.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Lee-Wilbur Funeral Home in Romeo. Burial will be made in the Romeo Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.
