Sale of the Boyce Photo Shop at 221 S. Fourth Ave. to Alois Spring, for 25 years watch repairman at Eibler’s Jewelry Store, was announced today.
Spring said that in addition to the present stock of greeting cards and photo supplies, he also will operate a watch repair business. Later, he may add a general line of jewelry.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey E. Boyce had operated the Fourth Ave. business since 1937. They will continue to conduct their other business, at 723 N. University Ave., owned solely by Mr. Boyce since 1946, when he bought out Gene Francisco, his partner since 1926. The business there dates back to 1905, however.
