The most firm and decidcd exprossion wa6 given by tho unanimous adoption of resolutions jjover again to vote for a slaveholder, or for n man or a party that should bo guilty of doini; 59. The speeches and the rosoliuions all 6eemed to wnrn U3 not to bo foolisnly caught in the jcunningly devised IVliig snaro cf loud profeesions of renard lor "Liberty principies," tlNorthfrnRits," #e., whi Ie unierneath this deceptivasnarc lay eo snugly conccalcd, rcjdy to seize his prey - the slaveholder so nipely covered up, and so fondly pRt(cl by his old and long tricd Yhig friends who are nhvays jtist as good. abolitionisis as any body. hut ■ Tho Whig abolition huis, are no go with the Liberty men of Jackson County.
