Mrs. Edith Fisher
Word has been received in Ann Arbor of the death on March 25, in Allahabad, India, of Mrs. Edith M. Fisher, for several years a resident of Ann Arbor, coming here from Pontiac.
She sailed for India on Oct. 11, 1937, to spend two years with her daughter, Miss Ernestine Fisher, a missionary there for many years. Mrs. Fisher’s last illness was of about two months’ duration. It is understood that interment was to be in India.
Besides the daughter in India, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Henry Hoff of Wellsville, Pa., a son, Dr. Gilbert E. Fisher, connected with Johns Hopkins hospital, Baltimore, and a sister, Mrs. John Bitzer of Detroit.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of the First Baptist church in Ann Arbor and was a leader in church and missionary enterprises. She was the widow of Charles A. Fisher.
