Ypsilanti Tinsmith Succumbs To Illness

YPSILANTI—Lloyd Hallock Ward, 80, of 705 Pearl St. died last night at a local hospital after a long illness.

Born in Augusta township on Aug. 23, 1872, he was the son of William E. and Mary Kelsey Ward.

He was married Dec. 11, 1903, in Milan to Minnie King.

Mr. Ward had lived in this vicinity for the past 34 years and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Ypsilanti and a life member of Queen City Lodge No. 167, Knights of Pythias. He was a tinsmith by occupation.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Paul K. of L’Anse, Mich.; Wilton R. of Ypsilanti and Lawrence B. of Milan; one daughter, Mrs. William Terry of Antioch, Ill.; one brother, William E. of Detroit; five sisters, Mrs. Justin Gale of Wayne, Mrs. Charles Robison of Des Plaines, Ill., Mrs. Frank Allen of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Floyd Robison of Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Charles Lawrence of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stevens & Bush Funeral Home in Ypsilanti. Burial will be in Marble Park Cemetery Milan. Friends may call at the funeral home.
