Coroner Edwin C. Ganzhorn today ruled that the Aug. 1 death of a 68-year-old York township housewife was accidental. His ruling followed results of an autopsy and extensive laboratory tests by the State Health Department.
The woman, Mrs. Catherine M. Hebb of 10855 Stoney Creek Rd., was found lying in the living room of her home by her husband. State police and Dr. Ganzhorn said at the time that she apparently was the victim of poisonous gas from a rodent fumigant.
The laboratory tests indicated that the housewife died from cyanide fumes from a rodent-killing fumigant powder.
