New Patrolmen: The ranks of the Ann Arbor Police Department have been swelled to 67 members with the addition of two new patrolmen to the uniformed division. They are Chester E. Straka, 23, of Benton Harbor (left) and Raymond E. Jones, 27, of Kalamazoo. Both are ex-servicemen having served with the U.S. Marine Corps and Army respectively. Jones has had three years experience with the Kalamazoo Police Department. They will be placed on full-time duty at the completion of a two-week training course.
