Age 62, died suddenly Saturday, December 11, 1993 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She was born August 19, 1931 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Kirby) Clisham. Mrs. Hieber had attended St. Thomas Catholic Church. She retired from the University Hospitals in November 1992. On January 27, 1951 she married Leon Hieber and he survives. Also surviving are four children, David (LuAnn) of Saline, Leon D. of Ann Arbor, Mary Jo (Ken) O’Hotzke of New Boston, MI and Brian (Pam) of Manchester; four grandchildren, Michelle, Robin, Allison and Katie; one brother, James (Gertrude) Clisham of Ann Arbor; two sisters, Nora (Dan) Kelly of Ann Arbor and Marie Ritz of Chelsea; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Roger Prokop as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family will receive friends at the MUEHLIG CHAPEL this evening, 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with the Vigil service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
