Curtis J. Spratt, 57, of 409 Glen, died Sunday morning after a long illness.
He was born in Kansas City, Mo., March 15, 1907, a son of Cobb and Mary Jane Robertson Spratt. He came to Ann Arbor in 1938, and has been a custodian at the University of Michigan for the past 14 years.
A World War II veteran, he served in Naples, the Central European campaign and the African campaign. He was a past commander of Kenneth Fox VFW Post No. 7433.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
He married Hazel Hopkins on March 19, 1946, and she survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Leon of Washington D. C., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Second Baptist Church, where the body will lie in state from noon to the time of services. The Rev. C. W. Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Staffan Funeral Home.
