Mrs. Geneva E. Barnett, 57, of 2110 Bredfield, died today at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born April, 1907, in Russellville, Ky., a daughter of Mrs. Mary Corley, and was married June 15, 1932, to Harry L. Barnett. He survives.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church and served as president of the church's Pastor's Club for many years. She also was a member of the church's Senior Morning Choir, and was a member of King's Daughters and Naomi Chapter No. 12 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Besides her husband, survivors are a son, Lincoln C. Murphy of Ann Arbor; four grandchildren, and several aunts, one uncle and several cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. C. W. Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Staffan Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
