MILAN - Dr. Nelson E. Chevalier, 41 years old, a practicing physician in Milan for the past 13 years, died last night at Detroit Osteopathic hospital. He was operated on for appendicitis two weeks ago and had undergone several blood transfusions, for which Mrs. Chevalier was the donor.
Dr. Chevalier was born Oct. 22, 1896, in Toledo, Ohio, and he came to Milan about 1925. He was a graduate of the school of osteopathy at Des Moines, Ia., and of the University of Michigan medical school. He served his internship at Harper hospital in Detroit.
He was a member of Milan lodge, No. 323, F. & A. M., Milan chapter, No. 106, O. E. S., and was a member of the People's church of this village.
Surviving are his widow; four brothers, Clarence of Toledo, Clifford of West Allis, Wis., and Paul and Wilbur of Milwaukee, Wis.; and two sisters, Mrs. Anthony Morlock of Milan and Mrs. William Kopp of Toledo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon here, and interment will be in Toledo.
