Long Illness Fatal To Dexter Woman
DEXTER - Mrs. Mary Veronica Howard, 67, of 9775 Huron River Dr., Dexter, died yesterday morning at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor after a long illness.
She had lived in Dexter since her marriage to Casper E. Howard on June 28, 1923, in Detroit.
Born Sept. 28, 1889, in Grand Rapids, she was a daughter of Daniel and Mary Kelly Heaphy.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dexter, of the Altar Society of the church and of the Sunshine Club.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Louis (Helen) Farrell of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Allan (Kathleen) Bowen of Gregory and Mrs. Leonard (Marian) Latimer of Chelsea; five grandchildren, and two brothers, Leo and Hilary Heaphy of Detroit.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles T. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Carl Keehn Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
