Sink, Charles A.

Age 93, passed away yesterday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born July 4, 1879 in Westernville, New York, the son of Herman and Caroline Gleasman Sink. Mr. Sink has been an Ann Arbor resident for the past 72 years. He married Elva Joanna Gordon on June 18, 1923. Mr. Sink was a member of the First Congregational Church. He was President Emeritus of the University Musical Society and he was a life member of Fraternity Lodge No. 262 F&AM. Survivors include: his wife, three nieces, Mrs. Pauline Darling of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Mark Fenton of Rochester, New York and Mrs. Ruth Cooper of Rio Linda, California; five nephews, Stanley Sink of Denver, Colorado, Roydon Ranous of Lakehurst, New Jersey, Charles A. Ranous of Maidson, Wisconsin, Howard and Harold Amish both of Rochester, New York. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from the First Congregational Church with Rec. Terry N. Smith officiating. Interment will be made in Washtenong Memorial Park Musoleum. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Muehlig Chapel conducting by officers and members of Fraternity Lodge. Friends may call at the Chapel beginning at 3 p.m. today and until noon on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the University Musical Society in care of Gail Rector, Burton Memorial Tower.
