Her only jewelry was a mother of pearl cross on gold chain with a setting of diamonds, a gift from the groom. She carried a bouquet of Briar Cliff roses and baby’s breath tied with a white satin bow.

Her bridesmaid, Miss Myrtle M. Heim of Dexter was lovely in a gown of blue lace over blue taffeta with tiny lace covered buttons down the front, short puff sleeves and a white picture hat and white sandals. She carried a bouquet of blue delphinium and yellow snap dragons.

The bridegroom was attended by Louis J. Heatly of Dexter, and Norman Altenbernt, cousin of the bride, acted as usher.

Mother In Blue

The bride’s mother wore a gown of light blue flowered chiffon, a yellow leghorn hat, white lace gloves and her corsage was of talisman roses. The bridegroom’s mother wore a light blue chiffon with matching a hat and also carried a corsage of Talisman roses.

About 75 guests from Ann Arbor, Jackson, Monroe and Dexter were present for the wedding, with only relatives and the wedding party attending the reception. Immediately after the reception the young couple left for a short motor trip.

The bride’s going away gown was of white jungle cloth, white turban and white matching accessories.

After June 26, they will be at home at 6166 River road, Dexter.

Several pre-nuptial events were given for the bride and a rehearsal tea was given Friday night.
