These "water boys" have their work cut out for them--pumping enough water for 16 thirsty Indians. It may take them several trips back and forth if they don't find a larger bucket--but they don't seem to mind. The brownie (at right) is wearing a "sit-upon"--something all her tribe made to keep their bottoms dry when they are sitting on the ground working or eating.
