Marilyn Wanty Is Engaged To M. D. Smith, Jr.

Engagement of Marilyn Jane Wanty to Maurice Delta Smith, jr., was announced this afternoon at a dessert bridge party in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Murray D. Wanty of Montgomery Ave. Mr. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice D. Smith of E. University Ave.
The announcement was revealed by pictures of the couple mounted on a large heart on a mantel mirror and bridge tallies bearing their photographs. University colors, glue and gold, were used in the decorations.
No date has been set for the wedding.
Miss Wanty was graduated from Ann Arbor High School and attended DePauw University. A member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, she is now a sophomore at the University of Michigan.
Mr. Smith also was graduated from Ann Arbor High School and is a senior at the University. He is a member of the M Club and Sphinx Club and a former member of the University wrestling team.
