"The burden of carrying trophies from the Ann Arbor City Tournament is a light one for these bowlers. The handicap winner was the R. E. Peckens team (seated) with a 3,078 total and the Howell team members are (left to right) Mike Recker, Bernie Voght, Rex Peckens, Jerry Redinger and Charlie Schultheis. The actual winner was the Devon Lincoln-Mercury team (standing) on a 2,829 and the members are Durwin Passow, Harold Mallot, Harold Stander, and L.D. Packard. Missing are John Welch and Harvey Eisman. George Holmer and Paul Agee of Brighton won the doubles actual 1,357. Garry de Vries took the singles actual on 672 and the handicap at 717. Frank Smith won the all-events handicap with a 1,945 and Ben Stadtmiller gained the all-events actual on 1,797. All hope to defend in 1970.
