Description

"The firemen are on the sidewalk outside the old Firehouse, on North Fifth Avenue. Part of the lawn and parking area of the 1963 City Hall are visible across the street. In the background, along East Huron Street, we glimpse the construction in progress on a new Michigan Bell Telephone Co. switching building, between the Ann Arbor News parking lot on the left, and the A&P Cleaners on the right (the former Packers Outlet grocery store). The Sinclair gas station on the corner became a car stereo store, and was demolished many years ago. Behind it is the headquarters of the Huron Valley Bank, now HQ of the Bank of Ann Arbor." - Wystan Stevens
