Age 72, died suddenly Tuesday morning, September 23, 1986 at his home. He was born January 25, 1914 in Farmington, Mich., the son of William and Minnie Brassow. He had been a resident of the Dexter area since 1951. Mr. Brassow was a member of the Washtenaw County Farm Bureau and the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. He married Lucile Hirth July 6, 1940 in Lodi Twp.; she died August 1, 1986. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Roberta Brassow of Dexter; his grandchildren, Laurie Ann, Pamela Jean and Brian Eric Brassow; foster son, Robert Hartwig of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Brassow of Saline, Mrs. Amanda Hartwig of Canton, Mich.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 26, 1 p.m. at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark R. Porinsky officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Dexter. Memorials to Faith Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the Hosmer Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today, Thursday from 9 am - 9 pm and Friday, 9 am - 11 am. Friends may also call at the church from noon until time of service.
