Anx Arbor, Feb. 25, 1847. Our rraders will find under the Foreign News the state of the markets in England. Whnt was i hé effect of. 'he declension in Liverpool of 4s per barrel in the New York mnrket we have not heard : bul in Detroit we learn that Flour l'ell at once from $4,12 to 83,50 whkh is reported to bo tho price in that city to oay. Buyers here have been paying 72 to 75 cents, but the price, under the present ndvices, will probably settle down atnot far from 65 cents. We notice that transactions in Corn and Meal in New York of late have been heavy. The price of Men], Feb. 18, was $5,12 to $5,37 per barrel. On the same day, 80,000 bushels of Corn were sold at 95 to 96 cents, on the opening of tne river, and 96 to 100 cents were paid where t was dclivered on the spot. Butthese prices were probably deir,inished somewhat by ihe reception of the Canbria's news. Pot Asbes, Feh. 18, were worth $4,87 i -Pea ris, 8ö,50.
