Mrs. L. M. Burchfield
Widow Of Former Coroner Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Lillian M. Burchfield, 82, widow of former Washtenaw county Coroner Samuel W. Burchfield, died early this morning in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a week's illness.
Mrs. Burchfield, who lived at 605 Miller Ave., is survived by two daughters, Cosette Burchfield, at home, and Mrs. John K. Rudd of Montclair, N. J., and a grandson, John Holly Rudd of Montclair.
Born March 17, 1871, Mrs. Burchfield was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Downey Hobson. She left her native Detroit in 1881, coming to Ann Arbor, and she was married Aug. 19, 1898. Mr. Burchfield, a tailor by trade, died in November, 1928.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel after today.
