Age 78, passed away Monday evening at Hillside Terrace residence, where she had been for the past two months. Born October 25, 1891, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, she was the daughter of George and Grace Isbell Mercer. Mrs. Gingles had been a resident of Ann Arbor for the past four years, coming here from Bowling Green, Kentucky. She married Hunter W. Gingles in June of 1917. He died in Bowling Green, Ky., in February of 1960. Mrs. Gingles had been a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, the Women's City Club, and the Senior Citizens' Guild. Surviving are: two sons, Dr. Carl E. Gingles, of Ann Arbor, and Dr. G. M. Gingles, of Harris, Ky.; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Morgan, of Rutland, Vermont; and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Muehlig Chapel with Rev. Robert E. Sanders officiating. The body will be taken to Bowling Gree, Ky. for burial. Friends may call at the chapel from 7 -9 p.m. this evening. The family requests no flowers. Memorial gifts may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
