Age 69, passed away yesterday. Born December 3, 1897 in Donneyville, Ontario, she had been a resident of Whitmore Lake since 1929 and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brighton. She married Wm. Henry Groomes July 19, 1927 and with her husband owned and operated Groomes Beach. Survivors include her husband, a daughter Marian, at home, a son, Bruce, a daughter-in-law, Gloria Lee of Whitmore Lake, three grandchildren and a brother, Martin Heeman of Lindsay, Ont. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday from the Phillips Funeral Home, South Lyon. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude, Montgomery Ala., or to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
