Witting, Clair C.
Ann Arbor, Michigan-
Age 65, passed away Thursday, December 9, 1976, after a lengthy illness. He was born November 14, 1911 in Bottineau, North Dakota, the son of Charles G. and Tena Zorn Witting and had been an Ann Arbor resident most of his life. He was a former bindery man for the University Lithoprinters. Mr. Witting was a member of the local Elks Lodge No. 325. On November 14, 1938 he married Maxine Hoerner she survives. Other survivors include: two daughters, Dorothy W. Childers of Lexington, Kentucky and Mrs. Mark (Mary W.) Ulberg of Ann Arbor; one son, William C. of Bellevue, Washington; one grandson, Jason Ulberg of Ann Arbor; one sister, Lavone Witting of Toledo; and his mother of Ann Arbor also survives. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Maurice; and a grandson, Jeffrey Childers. Private services were held Saturday at the Muehlig Chapel. Interment was in St. Thomas Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Dr. Ralph Brandt, in care of Heart Research at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital or to your favorite charity.
