King School Doing A Fine Job
King School doing a fine job
Editor, The News:
We parents of children attending King School would like to respond to the many adverse comments that have been made about our school by people not directly associated with it.
We want to recognize publicly the dedication of the staff, and in particular our principal, Rachel Schreiber. Despite all the pressure and confusing information about the lawsuit, the teachers and principal are doing a commendable job in trying to meet the needs of all the students.
Over 40 parent volunteers work in the school on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, as either tutors or classroom aides. They work with many students in reading, math, writing skills, etc.
This parent volunteer program, which has been in operation for over 8 years, has served as a model for other Ann Arbor volunteer programs. As volunteers who work in the school and interested parents, we have been able to see first hand the high quality of education that the children are receiving.
We look forward to an end of the divisions caused by the lawsuit.
