Council Honors Foster Parents
Two couples who have provided foster home care for a combined total of 54 years were honored by City Council Monday night.
Council approved resolutions of commendation for William and Evelyn Bailey of 3930 Joy Rd„ and Ralph and Doris Raiford of 2511 Newport Rd.
The Baileys, according to Anne Bal-lew, a foster home worker with the Department of Social Services, have provided foster care to 250 children since they first took part in the program in 1936. The Raifords have been foster parents since 1962.
