This was the scene in front of the Federal Building on E. Liberty Street Saturday afternoon moments after a counter-demonstrator (center, foot raised in a kick) jumped on John Reich, a neo-Nazi who had been holding an impromptu press conference. Reich is on the ground while an Ann Arbor policeman reaches for the attacker. At left, another neo-Nazi raised a club while in the center of the picture City Police Detective Richard Anderson (leather jacket, beard) grimaces after being punched over the eye by a counter-demonstrator (head down) who had attempted to attack others in the Nazi group.
