Rupert W. Coch, a former Ann Arbor architect and graduate of the University, died yesterday in Hendersonville, N.C., following an extended illness.
Mr. Coch was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Coch and had lived here until 1950 when he retired. One of his most favored architectural works, according to his sister, Mrs. Clarence Snyder, was the Hoover House on Washtenaw Ave. which is now the Youth for Understanding Center.
Survivors include his widow, Teddy; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Blount of Birmingham and his Ann Arbor sister.
