IOWA'S GIFT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN: Accompanied by attendants doing a cornstalk salaam, the baby Ruthven is wheeled before the assembled multitude by his nursemaid. This was the first in a series of burlesques of episodes in the life of the University's president presented at the testimonial dinner in Yost Field House. Throughout, students impersonating Dr. Ruthven wore grotesque masks.
