Lemon, Rev. William P.

Age 85, pastor-emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church; died Sunday evening after a long illness. He was born on February 14, 1882 in Cardiff, Wales, the son of John and Givenllian Williams Lemon. He was married on June 17, 1915 to Eleanor Carry in Newark, N.J. Rev. Lemon had been a minister at the First Presbyterian Church from 1934-1952. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. J.P. (Kathryn) McAllister and Mrs. Edwin G. (Gwenyth) Burrows, both of Ann Arbor; a son David G. Lemon, of Berkeley, Calif.; six grandsons and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the First Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Ernest T. Campbell, assisted by Rev. Willard Lampe, with burial following in Washtenong Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the William P. Lemon Scholarship Education Fund for Union Theological Seminary Students in care of the First Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel until noon on Wednesday.
