Breidenbach And Relay Team Chosen As All-Americans<br><br>PALO ALTO, Calif. -(&)- The University of Michigan placed one individual, half-miler Warren Breidenbach, and its mile relay team on the All-American college track and field squad chosen yesterday by the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s track and field rules committee.<br><br>The Michigan relay quartet— honored along with those of California and Southern California— included Breidenbach, Bob Ufer, Jack Leutritz and A1 Thomas.<br><br>The University of Southern California, NCAA team champion, led on the honor squad with seven individuals and its relay quartet.<br><br>Billy Brown of Louisiana State and Norwood Ewell of Penn State were the most-honored individuals, each named in three events. A Big Ten trio—Campbell Kane and Archie Harris of Indiana and Robert Wright of Ohio State—and A1 Blozis of Georgetown were selected in two events.<br><br>Other Big Ten stars given places were Fred Wilt, Indiana, two-mile run, and Roy Cochran, Indiana, 220-yard low hurdles.
