CHELSEA - Herman Hashley, 60, of 2791 Dancer Rd., a farmer and longtime resident of this area, died yesterday at his home.
He was born in Sharon township on May 28, 1892, the son of Charles and Adelle Rothfuss Hashley. On March 10, 1921, he married Ethel Whipple, who survives.
Mrs. Hashley had lived at the Dancer Rd. home since 1935. For four years prior to 1935, he farmed in Sharon township.
Besides his wife, Mr. Hashley is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Boyce of Stockbridge and Miss Janice Hashley at home, one sister, Mrs. Ezra Feldkamp of Sharon township, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Staffan Funeral Home, with the Rev. W. H. Skentelbury officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea.
The body will be at home until 11 a.m. Friday.
