Domboorajians Observe Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Mehran Domboorajian of Church St., whose golden wedding anniversary was on June 30, celebrated the event with a family picnic today. They were married on June 30, 1887, in Teheran, Persia, and came to this country in 1913, locating in Ann Arbor.
Mr. Domboorajian was engaged in mission work for the Presbyterian church in Teheran, but retired from active service before coming here, although he has kept his interest in the field.
This is the first opportunity since the date of the anniversary, that most of the family could be gathered together for a celebration. All but one of the seven children of the couple came for the holiday, Miss Lucy Domboorajian of Washington, D. C. not being able to join the party.
In the family group today are included the sons, Haig, of Detroit, and Peter and Samuel of New York City, with their families; and three of the daughters with their husbands and families, Christine, who is Mrs. Rex R. Lacourse of Detroit, Arsha, who is Mrs. D. Atamian of Detroit, and Rucha, now Mrs. David Reed of Church St.
