Mrs. Alta Lee Glen, 74, wife of Frank J. Glen, a local tailor for many years, died this morning at her home, 631 E. University Ave., after a two-year illness.
Born in Ypsilanti on Jan. 2, 1878, she was the daughter of Newton and Ida Lyon.
Following her marriage on Dec. 24, 1898, she came to Ann Arbor.
She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, a life member of Eastern Star, a member of the Sodalis Circle of the King's Daughters, the YWCA, the Pythian Sisters and the Past Chiefs' Club of the Pythian Sisters.
Surviving, besides her husband are one daughter, Miss Winifred E. Glenn, at home; one son, Dr. Harrie J. of Detroit; a grandson, William F. Glen of Kalamazoo; a great grandson; a sister, Mrs. Frank Shuda of Ypsilanti; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 Friday afternoon at the Muehlig chapel. Rev. Dwight S. Large will officiate in the absence of Rev. Henry Lewis. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial Park.
