PINCKNEY - Dr. George J. Pearson, 77, a veterinarian, died Saturday at his home in Howell, where he lived for the past two years. He had lived on a farm on M-36, east of Pinckney, for many years.
Mr. Pearson was born May 1, 1876, in Pinckney, a son of James and Mary Atrley Pearson and was married to Marion Clark of this village on Feb. 28, 1908. She survives him.
For many years in the early days of the automobile industry he operated the Dodge sales and service franchise in Howell. He was a graduate of the Grand Rapids Veterinary College and a member of Livingston Lodge No. 76, F&AM.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Swarthout Funeral Home where friends may call. Burial services at the Pinckney Cemetery will be conducted by Masonic Lodge members. The Rev. J. M. McLucas of Brighton will officiate.
