YPSILANTI - Martin P. O'Brien, 68 years old, West Cross St., this city, died yesterday when stricken with a sudden heart attack at the home of his cousin, Ernest Steffe, East Michigan Ave. He collapsed on the floor of the Steffe home and died before medical aid could be summoned. Mr. O'Brien had been in failing health for some time, but had attended to a garden and orchard which he owned, having been enroute to that place when he stopped at the Steffe home.
He was born on a farm seven miles south of this city, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick O'Brien, and had been a resident of Ypsilanti for the past twenty years.
Surviving are two sisters, Miss Catherine O'Brien, Ypsilanti, and Mrs. Mary Seckinger, Willis.
Funeral services will be held at nine o'clock Wednesday morning at St. John's Catholic church here. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery here.
