Downtown Promenade To Be Dedicated Tomorrow - Part of the new Elizabeth Russell Dean Promenade, which will be dedicated tomorrow, is shown in this southerly view of the 200-block of S. Main. Dedication will be in this block at a speakers' platform (near "Santa's Igloo" in background). The promenade features 48 planter boxes into which trees up to 25 feet high have been planted. Brick sidewalks are between the planter boxes. The promenade has drinking fountains and benches, one of which is shown.
