Attempting to dry out some of the old checks and historical records soaked yesterday when the basement of the Ann Arbor School Administrative Offices was flooded is Sooren Gozmanian, planner-expediter for the public schools. Two feet of water gushed into the basement early Thursday morning because of a defective water control mechanism. Gozmanian and other school personnel spent yesterday afternoon and today drying out soggy checks and records. School Supt. W. Scott Westerman Jr. said the drying-out process "is coming along very nicely" and most of the records are expected to be salvaged. (New Photo by Cecil Lockard.)
