Mrs. Annie J. Allan
CHELSEA - Mrs. Annie J. Allan, 81, of 112 1/2 Middle St. died early this morning at Colonial Manor Hospital here after an illness of several years.
Mrs. Allan was born Sept. 30, 1875, in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of John and Annie Jackson Grant.
She married John Allan Feb. 9, 1900, in Scotland. They went to British Columbia, Canada, in 1909, to Springfield, Mass., in 1911, and to Detroit in 1926. From Detroit, they moved to Chelsea in 1932.
Mr. Allan died in February, 1940, in Chelsea.
Mrs. Allan, a member of the Chelsea Methodist Church, is survived by a daughter, Miss Marian Allen of Chelsea; two sons, John of Ann Arbor and James of Chelsea; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Burghardt Funeral Home in Chelsea. The Rev. S. D. Kinde will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. Friends may call at the funeral home.
