Mrs. Lydia E. Lutz

Mrs. Lydia E. Lutz, 81, widow of the late Jacob Lutz, a former clothier on S. Main St., died Friday at a local hospital, after a long illness. She had lived at 507 S. Division St.
Mrs. Lutz was born May 14, 1875, in Ann Arbor, a daughter of John and Johanna Hagen. Her husband died March 3, 1912. Following his death, Mrs. Lutz operated the clothing store until 1927. She belonged to the Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Irene Dunham and Miss Helen L. Lutz, both of Detroit; a son, Alvin H. of Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Charles J. Hutzel and Mrs. Manley Osgood, both of Ann Arbor; and a brother, Herman Hagen of Gulfport, Miss.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Muehlig Chapel, the Rev. E. C. Stellhorn officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel. The family said that memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Church fund.
