Nuss Hearing Set March 15
Nuss Hearing Set March 15
A March 15 date was set yesterday for a hearing to determine if Ralph C. Nuss, alleged slayer of two teen-age youths, should be committed to a state hospital rather than stand trial for murder.
Circuit Judge William F. Ager Jr. set the hearing date after receiving reports from three psychiatrists who state that in their opinions Nuss should be committed to a hospital as a criminal sexual psychopath. The doctors will be called to testify at the March 15 hearing.
Nuss is charged with murder in the Nov. 10 slaying of Thomas Brown, 19, of Windsor, Ont. His attorneys petitioned the court for examination to determine if Nuss falls under the law describing a criminal sexual psychopathic person.
