Ernest G. Becker, 72, a native of Ann Arbor and brother of four Ann Arbor residents, died Friday in Los Angeles, Calif., after a short illness.
Mr. Becker was born Aug. 19, 1886, in Ann Arbor, a son of Louis and Mary Becker. In 1905 he moved to Colorado, where he remained until going to Los Angeles in 1930. Until retirement a year ago, he served as a buyer for the J. W. Robinson Co., a Los Angeles department store. He was a frequent visitor to Ann Arbor and visited relatives here last year.
Mr. Becker was married in 1906 to Adaline Conkle.
Surviving besides his widow are three daughters, all of Los Angeles, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Herman, Otto and Albert Becker of Ann Arbor and Louis Becker of Bellevue, Wash.; and two sisters, Miss Amanda Becker of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Louise Tibbets of Detroit.
Funeral services will be held Monday at the Hall Mortuary in Los Angeles.
