Special Anniversary Services Planned Sunday
Two special services have been arranged for Sunday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in observance of the first anniversary of the dedication of the combination chapel-school building on Pauline Blvd.
At 11 o’clock Sunday morning the local pastor, Rev. L. J. Koeninger, will deliver the sermon. At 8 o’clock in the evening Rev. E. J. Berg of Benton Harbor is to be the speaker. The church choir, with Ivan Raddatz, organist, will sing “Praise Ye the Lord” by Stein-Wacker and “The Lord’s Prayer” by Lowden.
Formally organized in June of this year, the congregation has grown from three families to a group of 45 individuals, 30 of them communicants and 12 voting men. An eight-grade parochial school is organized with an enrollment of 23 children.
Recently elected members of the first church council are Lauren Lutz, Jack Caster, Ivan Raddatz, Herman Meyer, Christian Korte and Norman Horning.
