When does your work really pay off? Is it the chance of discovery? Enlightenment? The building and development of the land around you?

Who does it benefit? Factories making textiles, supplying economical cost of clothing that keeps the masses warm. The mines pumping coal and petroleum out of the ground to keep the fire blazing. The lumber to build the houses, the quarries to build the wonders. But behind the corridor, I’ll tell you who, it's the aristocrats. In our country. There is no moral. No justification, to end fourteen-hour workdays. Frequent puppeting of our lives. The deadly results of the coal in our lungs. The oil staining our skin, or the backbreaking work in the factories. The prosperous peninsula was spilling of natural resources, black gold soaked the grounds. The minerals of fire and heat feet below the surface. But no gold. No natural gold, but yet. Gold was everywhere, in the houses, palaces, manors and decor of the rich. It slathered their bodies, soul, and mind. Their ambitions and goals were not humane, but rather for themselves. Lavish life, had massive gears turn and feed them. Where black smoke gulched out of their boilers to power the massive gears. The beautiful land overlapped by smoke, natives run out of the country. Who benefits? Once resources run out we'll all suffer. They could see it coming, but greed holds them still. Who profits in the end?
