“Adelia! Adelia! Run! Go now, run! Adelia…”

The frantic and frenzied shouts of dying friends and family members slowly turned to sobs and convulsions that pulled at Adelia’s soul, sucking her down into the depths of her despair. Adelia had decided to listen to them, to run far away, where the ghosts of her past life would never touch her, or worm their way into her dreams, steadily turning them to nightmares.

She was safe.

Or, at least, she had been.

The restless nights and quiet creaks of the copiously spacious house Adelia lived in had started to bother her. It made her think about how utterly alone she was, how she was the only living thing for miles. During her mourning period, Adelia had tried to distance herself from everyone and everything - she had not wanted to socialize when her entire family was dead - but now she regretted it dearly.

Adelia was isolated, separated from the only world she knew. Stuck in a barren landscape with no way out, she was eternally lost.
