He swept the sweat that clung to his face. He looked around the desert wondering if the heat would ever end.  He felt almost attached to the heat. He couldn’t escape the heat of the desert. He stared down at this phone, which was probably affected by the sun as he was. He felt as if the heat of the clear sky would ever end, just like the desert that surrounded him. He pulled his black and white keffiyeh that hung around his neck, to reach his mouth. As he heard by locals, it keeps the heat out. Maybe they were right. He had been hearing noises all day, but this one felt real almost. He turned in circles, and finally he saw it. He saw the white car that was racing up and down the hills. He felt relieved to know that he was finally saved from this never ending nightmare of the heat that followed him.
