SPINNER - Alice Calder, who has been spinning her own yarn for a decade, was one of many demonstrating crafts Sunday at the Fall Harvest Festival at Ann Arbor's Cobblestone Farm. Melanie Whiteley, from North Yorkshire, England, discusses with Calder the kinds of sheep that produce good wool as her daughters, Emma and Ruthie, seem interested in other things.
