Description

Local beekeeper Rebecca Schumacher will teach you the basics of bees, from what goes on in the hive to the basics of caring for bees. You'll learn about the beehive, how beekeepers harvest honey, and get a chance to look at some beekeeping equipment. The presentation will wrap up with a honey tasting, so be sure to stop by this sweet event.

This event is part of the Gardening & DIY Fest from 12:30-5:30:

The Gardening and DIY Fest is an all-day celebration of gardening, nature and the DIY spirit! Learn gardening basics including composting, vermiculture, and container gardening, as well as how to keep backyard chickens and goats!

- Shop local from a variety of artisans and vendors selling upcycled/recycled homemade wares including jewelry, clothes, bath products, artwork, and fibers, as well as plants and seeds!
